WHO WE ARE

APT Transtelex Ltd is a provider of translation, interpreting and desk top publishing services. APT was established in 1974 with the purpose of providing accurate and timely translations using subject matter specialists. APT processes are governed by its ISO 9001:2015 certification.  APT is a Controller of the personal data you provide us.

WHY WE HAVE A PRIVACY POLICY

Your privacy is important to us and we are committed to protecting and safeguarding your data. We have created this policy to ensure you feel confident that your personal information is held in a secure manner. This policy also describes how we use and process your personal data and that we comply with our legal obligations to you.

Once you have read this privacy policy and you continue to use our services you are indicating that you agree to us using your personal data as set out in the policy.

THE INFORMATION WE HAVE AND WHERE WE GET IT FROM

Personal data means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. Nearly all of the information we have will have been provided by you or created through your use of our services. We will ensure that all personal information supplied is held securely in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

HOW LONG DO WE HOLD YOUR DATA?

We will only hold your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes that we collected it. To determine the appropriate retention period, we look at the amount and sensitivity of the personal data and the potential risk from unauthorised use or disclosure.

We will not share your data with any third parties unless we have your permission to do so.

YOUR RIGHTS REGARDING THE DATA WE HOLD

You can at any time request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. You have the right to request that we correct any personal data if it is found to be inaccurate or out of date. You also have the right to request that it is deleted. Should you wish to have it deleted this will be carried out within 30 days of the request.

We have in place security measures to prevent your data from being lost, accessed, altered or disclosed. Access is limited to employees of the company only. Your personal data when processed will be subject to a duty of confidentiality. APT is Cyber Essentials certified.

We have procedures in place to monitor any data breach. In the event of a data breach you will be advised accordingly.

Please note we are constantly reviewing how we process and protect personal data. As a result, changes to this policy may occur at any time. We will endeavour to publicise any changes. Please also keep us informed if your personal data changes as it is important that the data we hold is accurate.
