Translation Memory

Translation memories give you the ability to re-use previously approved translated content.

A memory is a database containing your previous and up-to-date translations. Using memories gives our customers consistency and a long-term reduced pricing model.

Providing your source material can be edited and managed within our translation memory tools, we will use translation memory technology each time a document is translated.

Translators then use previous translations, finding segments that can be re-used, ensuring consistency with previous approved content.

You will find many benefits in using this technology and we price our work in a completely transparent way, giving you the confidence that the service you receive is what you would expect from a leading translation and localisation company.

Never used a translation memory?

Don’t worry, if you have previous translations which were not produced using translation memory tools, you can still use this material to benefit future translation work.

We can manually link all the sentences in a source document and its translated version to then import them into the relevant memory. This populates the memory with translations already approved by you, so future translations can benefit from these previously translated segments.

This process is known as win-aligning and requires a translation memory specialist to carry out the work.

Using translation memories is important for the future of your translation work, ensuring consistency in style and terminology and getting the most from your translation budget.
