Responding to Climate Change | A leading publisher specialising in climate change topics asked APT to translate its annual publication into French, intending to showcase some of the latest environmentally-friendly innovations.
Distributed internationally, it was read and supported by Government bodies, global business leaders, scientists and the world’s press, and was included in the welcome pack at an annual conference hosted by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
The difficulty with the project was in the timescale, having to produce 5 weeks’ work in 8 days, with a high degree of accuracy. The subject matter for each document was highly technical, with each one focusing on different subjects, thus requiring different translator skills and abilities.
After initial test pieces, APT were awarded the project based on the quality of the translation submitted, as well as the Project Management service that was being offered. |
